Ann Winze

Ann Winze is celebrating a decade of teaching Orchestra in the Nyack Public Schools and 40 years of playing the violin!  She holds Violin Performance degrees from Lawrence University and Indiana University Bloomington, as well as an Education Masters from Teachers College, Columbia University.  Playing highlights include the Spoleto Festival Orchestra in Italy and performances at Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Over the past twenty years, Ms. Winze has started nearly 1000 students on string instruments in New York City, Englewood, NJ, and in the Public Schools.  Her young students have performed countless concerts, including appearances onstage at Carnegie Hall with the "Link Up" educational program.

Ms. Winze loves to follow the progress of her former students as they move through Middle School and High School.  She also enjoys biking with her colleagues, gardening, and yoga.
