Physical Education
Physical Education and Health are essential components of a well-rounded education and play an important role in supporting students' physical, social, emotional, and lifelong well-being. The Nyack Public Schools Physical Education & Health program provides students in grades K–12 with engaging, standards-based instruction that promotes healthy lifestyles, physical fitness, personal wellness, and responsible decision-making.
Through developmentally appropriate learning experiences, students build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to lead active, healthy lives. Instruction emphasizes physical fitness, movement skills, health literacy, nutrition, personal safety, social and emotional wellness, and lifelong habits that support overall well-being.
We invite you to explore our elementary, middle, and high school Physical Education & Health programs to learn more about the curriculum, course offerings, and opportunities available to students throughout their educational journey.
